sweet potato frittata (or sweet potato omelette)

You know I’m all about quick and easy meals, filling breakfasts, one pot meals you can easily make from scratch even if you’re not really into cooking. And here’s one of them – you can serve it actually any time of the day. It might be a warming fulfilling breakfast you can prepare for yourself […]

why New Year’s resolutions don’t work? find 5 steps that help you to start and stick to your resolutions

why New Year’s resolutions don’t work? find 5 steps that help you to start and stick to your resolutions

“Old habits die hard.” – I read this sentence in the article on the National Institutes of Health website and immediately Bruce Willis jumped up in my head. Changing your eating habits is a great goal but it’s also a process. Sometimes it takes a while before changes become new habits. And you may face […]

easy winter cake with homemade pecan caramel

easy winter cake with homemade pecan caramel

To be honest I was never a Christmas person, neither crazy about Christmas decorations nor about tons of Christmas baking. Especially last couple years when we lost interest in cakes, desserts and other baked sweet goods. Don’t get me wrong, I still love a good cake from time to time, and won’t say “no” to […]

party time! – farfalle & pistachio pasta salad

party time! – farfalle & pistachio pasta salad

This is a staple party salad in my family since 2013 when I’ve made it for the first time. I’ve prepared it once for a party – the salad was a hit, so I passed the recipe on. Now my mum and my mother in low makes this salad literally every party gathering. Guests are […]

    chorizo & bean winter soup

    chorizo & bean winter soup

Another easy meal inspired by Davina McCall’s recipe. It reminds me a lot our Polish old school “fasolka po bretońsku”, made with butter beans, smoked sausage, root veggies and lots of tomato sauce. It definitely has this vibe but more on the spicy, smoky side. Even though my partner is not a fan of this […]

gingerbread cake inspired by Davina McCall

gingerbread cake inspired by Davina McCall

I’m honestly the most forgetful person I know. It was close call and this recipe would not appear on my blog. As I’ve mention in my previous Davina’s inspired recipe I borrowed her recipe book from the library. I had to return it few days ago, before that though, I took couple pictures of the […]

    Homemade kombucha vs store bought

    Homemade kombucha vs store bought

Fermented foods and beverages were always very popular in Asia and eastern Europe, usually recognised by Western countries as not edible. The reason for popularity of homemade fermented beverages is not only caused by poverty, but also by the lack of access to beverages produced and sold in the western countries. Story of kombucha is […]

pork & wild mushrooms stuffed filo pie

pork & wild mushrooms stuffed filo pie

This recipe is actually a mix of my idea, filo pie photos I’ve seen couple times on Instagram and leftover of mushroom sauce. And it’s a kind of pie but not really. I tried the pie version I’ve seen on IG – rolled and twisted but it didn’t really work (I should say it didn’t […]

smoked salmon & broccoli quiche inspired by Davina McCall’s recipe

smoked salmon & broccoli quiche inspired by Davina McCall’s recipe

Last couple months we honestly cannot decide what diet we want to follow. Subconsciously we would like to come back to ketogenic eating because we simply felt great on it. But on the other hand having variety of pasta, rice and potato dishes, occasionally take aways or simple porridge to grab for your breakfast to […]

WELCOME TO Eat Better Feel Happy!

We are not learned to take care of ourselves in a basic form like: food, sleep, rest and mental health. Sometimes we treat our body more like a rubbish bin than a temple. We’ve stopped giving ourselves opportunity to play and laugh. We don’t spent our time in nature building our connection with Earth. We waste time and energy on things that doesn’t matter instead of giving this energy to ourselves and others. We eat our sorrows away instead of looking for solutions for our problems.

Because healthy body and mind doesn’t need shitty food as a treat!

You know I’m all about quick and easy meals, filling breakfasts, one pot meals you can easily make from scratch even if you’re not really into cooking. And here’s one of them – you can serve it actually any time of the day. It might be a warming fulfilling breakfast you can prepare for yourself as a start to a busy day. It can be a one pot dinner you’ll prepare in couple minutes or a bigger supper if you need one. Any time of day you choose will be fine for this sweet potato frittata (or omelette if you wish). Trying to get back on track with my egg salads for breakfast. Today I got organic lettuce, cooked beetroot, avocado, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, boiled eggs, some mayo, apple cider vinegar and rapeseed oil, sprinkled with some sprouts. How many times you have told yourself that with a New Year you will start being more healthy, exercise more or change your bad habits? Lot of us make New Year’s resolutions and most of us fail after couple weeks. The data speaks clearly: 80 percent of people fail to follow through on their New Year’s resolutions by February. So if you feel like you’ve been terrorised by your old bad habits, be like John McClane and make your old habits die. Spend couple minutes to read my post and you will have a plan how to say “Yippee-ki-yay!” to your old eating habits. Shakshuka for weekend breakfast - lets start 2023 with some colours 😋 To be honest I was never a Christmas person, neither crazy about Christmas decorations nor about tons of Christmas baking. Especially last couple years when we lost interest in cakes, desserts and other baked sweet goods. Sometimes I look with a bit of jealousy at others beautiful Christmas cakes, muffins and Christmas desserts, but I know they won’t find a place on my table and it would simply get wasted. This is a staple party salad in my family since 2013 when I’ve made it for the first time. I’ve prepared it once for a party – the salad was a hit, so I passed the recipe on. Now my mum and my mother in low makes this salad literally every party gathering. Guests are always quite sceptical about the combination of pasta and pistachios, but then the salad disappears in the blink of an eye. It always gets a positive response from people surprised by the simplicity and unusual mixture of ingredients. In addition, it has a wonderful, spring pastel green colour. Another easy meal inspired by Davina McCall’s recipe. It reminds me a lot our Polish old school “fasolka po bretońsku”, made with butter beans, smoked sausage, root veggies and lots of tomato sauce. It definitely has this vibe but more on the spicy, smoky side. https://www.instagram.com/reel/ClL2idToW0y/ Prunes (oh I love prunes!), apple pure and spelt flour drew me to that recipe. I really like Davina’s idea of adding either veggies or dried fruits to cakes.
